01. Our Accessibility Commitment
Indiquer RCM is dedicated to ensuring equal access to information and healthcare revenue intelligence. We design, code, and audit our platform guided by the four core principles of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI):
- Perceivable: Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive (ensuring color is never the sole indicator of meaning).
- Operable: User interface components and navigation must be operable via diverse input methods, including keyboard, switch devices, and speech control.
- Understandable: Content, workflows, and form error instructions must be legible, predictable, and simple to comprehend.
- Robust: Content must be robust enough to be reliably interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including modern assistive technologies.
02. Keyboard Navigation & Focus Management
Our entire platform is navigable without the requirement of a computer mouse:
- Tab Order: Logical sequential tab focus traversing headers, interactive links, consultation triggers, tab switchers, and input fields.
- Focus Indicators: High-visibility focus rings highlight active elements to support sighted keyboard users.
- Modal Dialogs: Modals capture focus when opened, can be dismissed via the Escape key, and return focus to the triggering element upon closure.
- No Keyboard Traps: Users can effortlessly move into and out of all interactive widgets, forms, and accordions.
03. Screen-Reader Compatibility & ARIA Semantics
We implement semantic HTML5 elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <section>, <article>, <aside>, <footer>) enriched with WAI-ARIA 1.2 landmark attributes:
- Form inputs feature explicit
<label for="...">bindings and informative placeholder guides. - Dynamic status updates (such as form submission confirmations or error alerts) utilize
role="alert"andaria-live="polite"regions so non-sighted users receive immediate vocal confirmation. - Decorative graphical flourishes are tagged with
aria-hidden="true"to minimize auditory clutter.
04. Visual Presentation, Contrast & Alt Text
We enforce rigorous visual standards across our color palette:
- Color Contrast Ratios: Body text and headings maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 7:1 against light backgrounds, far surpassing WCAG AA's 4.5:1 baseline. Coral accent buttons enforce a minimum 3:1 graphical interface contrast.
- Text Scalability: Our typography adapts seamlessly when browser zoom is expanded up to 200% without loss of content or horizontal scroll breakage.
- Alternative Text (Alt Text): Informative diagrams and brand logos provide descriptive textual equivalents conveying operational significance.
